Priest Stole
The Priest stole is produced with a centre V shape, it narrows slightly at the neck so that it fits around the shoulders comfortably. The placement of the design is at the end of the stole.
Preaching Stole
The Preaching stole runs straight across the back of the neck and narrows slightly at both sides so it fits comfortable around the shoulders. The placement of the design is at the bottom of the Preaching stole.
Deacon Stole
The Deacon stole which lies diagonally across the chest, narrows slightly at the neck so again it lies flat on the shoulder, it is secured at the hip with a simple gold chain. The placement of the design is at the bottom of the Deacon stole.
We use a hopsack fabric. All vestments are individually made to order and are available in all four liturgical colours – red, white, green and purple stoles and chasubles. We pride ourselves on using the best quality fabric and materials. The hopsack fabric we use for our chasubles and stoles remains firm enough when used as a stole, and yet has a beautiful draping quality in the chasubles.
The liturgical vestment colour you choose is a personal choice. Green vestments are very popular and are widely used. White vestments are also very popular and are used at a wide variety of key occasions on the Christian calendar. Red and Purple vestment colours are used around Easter and Advent. Black vestments tend to be used for requiem masses and on all souls day. For more information visit the following article. Wikipedia article - liturgical colours
